Weekend Worship Services
One Message....Many Methods
"It's all about the weekend" is a phrase we use often at Green Valley. We are well aware that our weekend worship services are the most important four hours of the week. For it is in these four hours that we come together for worship and present the Gospel to over a thousand people each weekend. One thing that makes the weekend worship so unique at Green Valley is that we have so many options. Each service may have a different style and take place at a different time, but Pastor Rob preaches the same life changing message in each of our four weekend worship services. Take a look below at a brief description of each our four worship services.
Sunday 8:30 Gospel Service
We begin bright and early each Sunday morning with our Gospel service. We call this a "Gospel" service and not a traditional service because it is upbeat, exciting, and full of life. We sing gospel favorites, the great hymns of the faith, and feature choir specials and solos on a weekly basis. In addition to the music, we participate in the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. If you like the gospel style, or you are an early riser, join us this Sunday at 8:30 AM for our Gospel Service.
Sunday 9:45 & 11:00 Worship
Every Sunday at 9:45 and 11:00 AM, our worship center is nearly filled to capacity with believers who have come to worship our Lord. Pastor Dave Simpson and the worship team lead us into the presence of God through a celebration of worship and praise. Our worship features the Green Valley Choir and some of the finest musicians in Las Vegas who weekly share their gifts with God's people here at Green Valley. These two services are always crowded so come early to get a good seat!
Saturday 6:00 PM-Prayer and Communion Service
Casual with a capital "C" is how I would describe our Saturday night service! It is our newest worship hour that we added as a result of our rapid growth in our Sunday services. It is exactly the same service as our 9:45 and 11:00 Sunday services only less crowded. People who regularly attend Saturday worship love the informal and relaxed atmosphere where everyone seems to know everyone else. On the first Saturday of every month, we participate in communion. On the second Saturday, we have a special prayer time during the service when you can come to the altar and have a pastor pray for you. Pastor Rob preaches the same sermon on Saturday as he does on Sunday. This service has proven to be a great option for people who are not able to come on Sunday.
