Our Staff An accountant by trade, Rob left the business world over 20 years ago to pursue his dream of becoming a pastor. Considering eternal significance of greater value than worldly success, he enrolled in seminary to begin his studies. After receiving both a masters and doctorate degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Rob began his ministry as a student Pastor in El Paso, TX. Since that time, he has served as the Sr. Pastor of the First Baptist Churches of Indianola, MS and Clinton, MS respectively. Rob and Lisa moved to Green Valley in March of 2003 with their two sons, Stephen (16) and Michael (12). They love living in Henderson and believe that serving at Green Valley is a dream come true. His passion in ministry is to see changed lives, spiritual growth, and to see people reach their God given potential in life. His favorite part of being a pastor is getting to know people. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Dave was an award-winning television director and producer at North Phoenix Baptist Church before entering music ministry. He has led in churches in Arizona and Alabama, and is thrilled to be in Henderson, which is just a four and a half hour drive from his hometown of Yuma, Arizona. He joined the staff in 2003, and counts his time partnering with Pastor Rob here, and seeing Green Valley grow, as the highlight of his ministry. Marty joined the staff at Green Valley in August of 2006. He is an Alumni of Mississippi State University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Marty is married to Lisa Turner Willams. They met in college and were married in 1989. They have two beautiful daughters: Madison and Amelia.
Marty's mission in life is to lead people to follow the truth of Jesus in everyday life. His main responsibilities at Green Valley are overseeing our connect groups and serving in the role of teaching pastor.

Marty Williams-Life Development Pastor  Barry and his family moved to Henderson in October, 2004 after serving the previous 7 years with LifeWay Christian Stores. Barry has been married to his lovely bride Cheryl for 14 years and they have two sons Cody, 13, who loves drama and trains in mixed martial arts and Caden, 10 who loves to swim and thought the Bodies exhibit was the coolest thing ever!
Barry has previously served in the areas of Student ministry, evangelism, administration and Christian education. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1986 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990 with a Master of Arts degree in Religious Education.
Barry collects knives in his spare time, is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loves to watch mixed martial arts competitions.

 Mark was added to the staff in February of 2007. He and his wife Deb met in college at Missouri Baptist College and have been married since May of 2001. Mark serves as our Student Pastor at Green Valley Baptist Church. He was born and raised in the Midwest, but is in love with the west coast lifestyle. He is excited to see what God is going to do through the students at Green Valley.
Cheryl and her family moved to Henderson in 1993 and found GVBC to be a wonderful new church home. After having home schooled for 10 years, Cheryl joined the staff as Children’s Pastor in 1999. She had occupied a similar ministry position at Bethany Church of Sierra Madre in Southern California. Her degree in Christian Education is from BIOLA University. With a staff of 4 she oversees ministry to children from birth to grade 5. Cheryl and her husband, Bruce, have four children. Emily (10) and Katie (16) are still in the nest. William is married to Meg, and Lauren and her husband, Jeremiah, have produced two grandbabies! Her desire is to see a generational ministry here at GVBC – to equip young parents to successfully pass the baton of faith to their own children. “Let each generation tell it’s children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.”
